When music fans talk about Prince’s rise to superstardom, the discussion often turns to 1999 or Purple Rain. However, the true blueprint for his genius was cemented in 1979 with his self-titled second studio album, Prince.

Written, arranged, composed, and performed entirely by Prince himself at just 21 years old, this self-titled classic catapulted him into mainstream R&B and pop stardom.

Includes the original recording of ‘I Feel For You’ which later became a monster hit for Chaka Khan.
