"Cut Throat Raver" is a rare 1992 UK 12" white label EP by electronic act The Chekists. Known for its industrial laced breakbeats and electro-analog piano, the 2 track release is highly sought after by collectors.

Cut Throat Raver was recorded in the summer of 1992 by the Harlow based duo The Chekists as a rare self released, 45 RPM 12" white label vinyl. Carrying the matrix identifier CK. 0001, the record was an independent attempt by the act to break into London's rapidly evolving underground white label market.

The EP captures a specific turning point in UK dance music history, capturing the transition away from early Acid House 4/4 beats into early Happy Hardcore and the foundational sounds of Jungle.

Because the release was a failed foray into the commercial market, it received a highly restricted press run. No official record label ever picked it up, meaning original physical copies are exceptionally scarce.
