Few albums capture the atmosphere of late-1960s psychedelic rock quite like The Doors – Waiting for the Sun.

Released in 1968, this iconic album showcases the distinctive voice of Jim Morrison alongside Ray Manzarek’s keyboards, Robby Krieger’s guitar and John Densmore’s drums. Blending psychedelic rock, blues influences and poetic songwriting, Waiting for the Sun remains a standout album for classic rock fans and vinyl record collectors.

Waiting for the Sun was The Doors’ third studio album and became their first album to reach number one on the US Billboard album chart. It features a fascinating mix of melodic songs, darker psychedelic sounds and atmospheric performances that helped define the band’s unique musical identity.

The album includes the unforgettable hit “Hello, I Love You”, the laid back atmosphere of “Love Street”, the haunting “The Unknown Soldier” and the powerful closing track “Five to One”.
