Big Daddy Kane – Long Live the Kane is a landmark in golden age hip-hop and an essential record for fans of classic rap. Released in 1988, Big Daddy Kane’s debut album established him as one of the most technically gifted MCs of his generation.

The album features some of Kane’s best-known tracks, including “Raw,” “Ain’t No Half-Steppin’,” “Set It Off” and “Long Live the Kane.” Its production and Kane’s commanding lyrical performance helped define the sound and attitude of late 1980s East Coast hip-hop.
