There are no unnecessary layers here, the drums are the focus. The performances move through a fascinating collection of rhythms including Yanvalou, Africanadou, Rongol, Zepol, Dahome, Congo, Juba, Petro, Kita, Boumba, Koye, Areyen, Mas Karon and Ibo.

The result is rhythmic, intense and hypnotic, with the different patterns creating a constantly shifting sense of movement.
