Johnny Cash - The Man Comes Around

Vinyl - N/M

Sleeve - N/M

It’s #45friday again so we’ve had a dig in our vast 7” stock and pulled out this gem for you.

A fantastic addition to any Johnny Cash collection, this Johnny Cash 7” vinyl single features two unforgettable recordings: The Man Comes Around and his distinctive cover of Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus.

Released through American Recordings in 2014, this striking single showcases the legendary Man in Black at his very best. The artwork features a dramatic black and white close up, with the iconic CASH lettering across the front, giving the record a bold and instantly recognisable appearance.

The A-side, The Man Comes Around, is one of Johnny Cash’s most powerful later recordings. With its dark, biblical imagery and unmistakable vocal delivery, it remains one of the defining songs from his American Recordings era.

On the reverse, Personal Jesus, originally written by Martin Gore of Depeche Mode, receives the unmistakable Johnny Cash treatment. His stripped back interpretation transforms the electronic original into something raw, haunting and timeless.
