2024 US LP

Hailing from San Diego, California, Thee Sacred Souls have built a reputation for bringing classic soul sounds into the modern era, drawing inspiration from the rich musical traditions of the 1960s and 1970s while creating something distinctly their own.

Got a Story to Tell captures everything that makes Thee Sacred Souls such an exciting band. The album is packed with beautifully arranged melodies, smooth vocals, rich basslines and the unmistakable analogue warmth associated with the Daptone Records sound.

Josh Lane’s soulful lead vocals sit perfectly alongside the band’s understated yet incredibly tight musicianship. Alex Garcia handles drums, guitar and organ, while Sal Samano provides the deep bass foundations that bring the songs together.

The result is an album that feels effortlessly authentic. Whether you’re a fan of classic Motown, deep soul, sweet soul or modern revivalist sounds, there’s plenty here to fall in love with.
