Throwing Muses - Hunkpapa

When discussing the bedrock of late 80s alternative rock and the iconic 4AD roster, Throwing Muses stand out as true pioneers. Released in January 1989 Hunkpapa represents a pivotal, transitional chapter in the band’s discography.

Following their acclaimed early releases (Throwing Muses and House Tornado), Hunkpapa saw the band leaning into slightly tighter song structures and cleaner production without sacrificing their trademark angularity.
